Robyn Chapel is currently the founding upper division head at Avenues Silicon Valley in San Jose, California. An experienced global educator. Robyn Chapel began her career over thirty years ago as a bilingual social studies teacher in California before moving abroad and serving in leadership roles in Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom. Robyn most recently served as the director of teaching and learning at the American School in London and was the high school division head at both the American School of Valencia in Spain and the American School Foundation in Mexico City. She returned to the United States to embark on the exciting project of building a school and joined the founding leadership team of Avenues Silicon Valley in 2020. She is a graduate of the PTC Essential Skills Program and holds a Masters of Education degree from Stanford University. Robyn is committed to fostering empathy and agency in students through engaging authentic learning experiences. She also is dedicated to fostering adult learning that results in creating the schools children deserve and need.
