For June/July PTC seven-day Courses
Wondering what your virtual, intense learning experience will be like? Be ready to immerse! Just as when in person, it is minds-on for 6-7 hours a day. Be ready to be ‘away’ from your day-to-day, focusing intensely on this professional learning.
Watch and Engage
Each day of your learning experience begins at 07:00AM EDT with a ‘watch and engage’ synchronous session facilitated by an experienced international school educator. Here is where you get exposure to the knowledge, skills and understandings for the day’s essential questions, raise questions and engage in learning activities with others.
Practice
Following each synchronous session you are provided with learning tasks to practice and engage with new learning content, housed in a single learning platform, with a custom-designed Resource Book. You complete these tasks, for the most part, on your own asynchronously, from a daily task list, indicating where you have choice and where a task is required.
Get Perspective
Getting the perspective of others is core to our learning model. You have the opportunity to get perspective each day from your course colleagues, your course facilitator and through reading articles and watching videos from experts in the field.
Go Deep
Each day you receive access to a curated list of resources related to the day’s topics. These resources include books, articles, websites and videos that you use both to support core course content to engage more deeply with topics of interest.
Learn Together
You also have opportunities to schedule 1:1 sessions with your course facilitator, meet in small groups with other course participants and have at least one social event during your course!

By participating in a June-July Institute, you consent to the PTC photographing and using your image and likeness. The PTC reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at the June-July Institutes, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. The PTC may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by the PTC including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.
