CTC Online Learning Model During School Year


Watch and Engage

You are provided a variety of ways to access the knowledge, skills and understandings learning through an 8-week program including:

  • videos, self- assessments, and curated readings

  • opportunities for peer to peer feedback through a variety of online tools

  • six two-hour synchronous sessions; approx. 2 hours of asynchronous learning tasks weekly.

 


Practice Your Skills

You will be provided with a variety of learning tasks to practice the skills you are learning. These include:

  • interactive, individual skill builders, practical reflection and planning activities housed in a customized set of digital resources

  • job-embedded strategies to explore at your school during the school year

 


Get Perspective

Getting the perspective of others is core to learning and essential in the international school context. You will get perspective from your course colleagues through:

  • discussion threads, Padlets and Flipgrid to share ideas, receive feedback from peers and course instructors and engage in asynchronous dialogue

  • Breakout sessions during the 6 synchronous sessions

  • reading/watching/listening to experts in the field, including our “Counsellors Corner” of current international counsellors
