Suzette is a dedicated and committed educator who has been in the field of education over 25 years. Her teaching career began in the Boston Public School system and found her way to the Caribbean where she implemented remedial reading programs for private local schools. Suzette’s international experience began at The International School of Port of Spain where she taught for two years and later became the first woman principal for the elementary school over the last 23 years. She is a key member of the senior leadership team who has been the chair of a myriad of teams, and recently the K-12 Academic for Excellence Chair. Suzette has been an advocate for professional teams, and she has coordinated the Teachers Teaching Teachers (TTT)program because she promotes learning from each other. 

Suzette has several credentials in education, special education( Sheffield University, United Kingdom) and master’s in education ( Framingham, Massachusetts, USA) and a doctorate in teaching and learning, curriculum and leadership from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. Her dissertation was chosen because Suzette had a burning question: Where are Women of Color Superintendents in International Schools? Her dissertation focus explored: How Women of Color leaders make sense of their professional and personal experiences in K-12 International Schools.
