 Think Puzzle Explore

This is a thinking routine which helps us to make connections between new ideas and prior knowledge. You can read more about it here: Think Puzzle Explore_1.pdf (harvard.edu)

EXAMPLE

For example, I  am an EAL specialist who has concerns about several multilingual learners in my class as they are not making as much or as quick progress as others I have taught over the years. I am worried about the multilingual learners who come from mixed-language homes or who may have a language impairment in their first language or a behavior issue as a result of not wanting to learn in English.  You can read an article or view a video on the topic in order to learn more.

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. What do I think I know about this topic?

  2. What questions or puzzles do I have about this topic?

  3. How might I explore the puzzles I have around this topic?

Come prepared to share your thinking with others.
