Treena Casey currently works as Executive Director of Teaching and Learning at Singapore American School. This is her 27th year working primarily in international education. Prior to coming to Singapore, she served as Assistant Director for Curriculum and Instruction at Shekou International School, China, where she worked for eight years. Before that, Treena was a teacher and teacher leader at Nagoya International School and International School Bangkok. She started her education career in New Zealand, teaching in both urban and rural schools. Treena is, and has been, actively involved in student learning and assessment, curriculum development, professional development, strategic planning and WASC and IB accreditation processes. Treena holds a Certificate of International School Leadership from the Principals' Training Center. She holds teaching certification and undergraduate credentials from Auckland College of Education, a B.S from Regents College, New York, a Master’s degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo, and is currently working towards her Ed.D with University of Southern California.
