The Principals' Training Center for International School Leadership

The PTC offers a wide range of professional development opportunities for practicing and aspiring international school principals, all of which are grounded in the Standards for International School Principals.

What’s it all about?

International schools are unique. They operate under special circumstances and have special needs. The Principals' Training Center for International School Leadership (PTC) was founded as a non-profit organization in 1989 to meet the professional development needs of leaders in international schools. Over 8000 international educators have participated in PTC training programs. PTC offers an 'Essential Skills Program' consisting of four, week-long learning experiences leading to a Certificate of International School Leadership in both online and in-person formats.

How can I earn the PTC Certificate of International School Leadership?

The Principals Training Center offers two certificate programs for principals. Both certificates, which are endorsed by participating regional associations, confirm that the recipient has been trained for a leadership position in an international school. Can I earn graduate credit?

Yes! You may earn 3 hours of graduate credit for each course. In addition to completing all course tasks there will be a graduate credit assignment that requires up to 10 additional hours of learning time. For more information about graduate credit, click here.
