PTC 2008 Institutes Registration

General Information

 

TO REGISTER

  • Submit a completed 2008 registration form by mail, fax or register online
  • Include a US$500 non-refundable deposit per course or pay in full at the time you submit your registration form.

FORMS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTANCE

  • US$ DOLLAR: check drawn on a US Bank (non US checks cannot be accepted)

  • WIRE TRANSFER: (details available upon request).  Wire transfers must be received within 5 days of submitting registration.

PAYMENT DETAILS

  • Registrations must include a $US500 dollar non-refundable deposit per course or full payment for the course.  No space can be held without the deposit.
  • Payments in full must be made by 9 MAY 2008, including any balances if original registration was submitted with deposit only, or full course fee if submitting registration with payment in full.
  • Courses registration will be cancelled if full payment is not received by 9 MAY 2008.
 
REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  9 MAY 2008 (or until classes reach capacity)
Space in all courses is limited. Early registration is recommended.        All courses that reach capacity will be closed to further enrollment and registrations received will be placed on a space-available wait list.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • All deposits (US$500) are non-refundable
  • Applicants who register and withdraw after 9 MAY 2008 will be refunded one half of the course fees less the deposit.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Institute fees DO NOT include accommodation the days before, after or between courses.  Participants needing accommodation before, after of between institute dates must make arrangements directly with the hotel (Miami), or university (London).  Extra nights booking information will be provided in your registration confirmation packet.
  • Due to the intensive training and limited facilities, PTC accommodations are not offered to spouses or other non-participants. PTC participants should not plan to have spouses or family members accompany them.
  • Participants must complete the full 7-day institute in order to receive a certificate of completion. Those who arrive late or depart early will not receive confirmation of participation.

Accommodation Rate includes six (6) nights shared accommodation with another PTC participant and six (6) breakfasts in addition to:  

Two refreshment breaks daily, Banquet dinner first and last evenings, all course material.

Discounted PTC Member Fees are offered to participants from schools that are current members of the Principals' Training Center.  Click here to see if your school is a current PTC member.

REQUIRED PREPARATION

Registered participants will receive short pre-reading and preparation assignments.  Each is also asked to bring a short written 'case study' dealing with an issue or problem confronted during professional practice. These are addressed group sessions.  Preparation assignments will be sent to registered participants via email in early May and will also be available on the website.

DAILY SCHEDULE

DAY 1 PTC check in/registration from 1:00-3:00pm,  Hotel check in from 4:00pm,   Course begins promptly at 4:00pm.

Welcome banquet in the evening

DAY 2-6 8:00am-3:00pm Workshop sessions,

4:00pm-6:00pm Small Group Reflection sessions.

Training is intensive. Evenings are free but little free time is available during the course for off-site activities.
