From Miami
International Airport (approximately 7 miles)

Shuttle: Go to
the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. You can
book a shuttle to or from the hotel for $21 per person. The
shuttle holds 10 passengers. Groups of 4 or more can book

minutes from door to door. As you exit Miami International
Airport, take State Road 836 West (Dolphin Expressway).
Exit NW 87th Avenue North. Follow exit ramp to the traffic

right at the next light onto NW 87th Avenue. Travel 2.5
miles to intersection of NW 36th Street. Resort entrance is
the next traffic light after NW 36th Street, on the left.

Allow yourself forty minutes from door to door. Take I-595 West
to the Florida Turnpike. Take Florida Turnpike South. Follow
Florida Turnpike Homestead Extension. Exit on NW 41st Street
East. Travel approximately 4 miles. Turn left at NW 87th
Avenue intersection. Resort entrance immediately on the left.
Accommodation
All PTC
participants will be housed in double rooms paired with another
PTC participant unless a specific request has been made for a
private room, for which there is an extra charge. Private rooms
are an additional $62.50 per night
($375 per course), beyond the ‘with accommodation’ course cost
and are offered on a space-available basis.
All rooms are
non-smoking and offer garden or golf views with private
balconies, have mini-bars, two-line phones, and high speed
internet access. Your PTC group rate rooms includes access to
the main clubhouse fitness center, complimentary local calls (up
to 20 minutes per call), access fees are waived for credit card
and 800 calls, 10 pages of incoming faxes per day, in room
coffee, morning newspaper.
A refrigerator can
be rented for $5 per room, per day. Requests for rentals can be
made upon your hotel check-in.
High speed
internet access is available in all guest rooms at a discounted
rate of $9.95 per 24 hours.
PTC delegates are
entitled to 10% off published Spa Services, excluding salon
services.
The resort offers
a jogging path encompassing a 3.5 mile tour around the Blue
Monster golf course.
Internet Access

Internet access is
available in all guest rooms via IBAHN at a discounted rate of
$9.95 per day plus taxes. Access can be requested by contacting
the front desk or by calling “At Your Service” by Dialing 0.
Wireless Services are not currently offered in the guest rooms.

Java Zone Cyber Cafe has 4 computers dedicated to internet
browsing. Internet cards are available for purchase at a rate
of $6.00 for 30 minutes and $10.00 for one hour

The
Java Zone, Terrazza and Champions Restaurant Patios offer IBAHN
WIFI at $2.95 the first 15 min and 0.25 cents each additional
minute.

A
Business Center is also available where you can connect with
your own laptop or a provided PC with all PC features such as
printing, burning, scanning etc for $10.00 per each 15 min
increments.
Parking
Self-parking
is free of charge. Valet parking is $11 per day, and $18
(discounted rate) per overnight stay.
Meals
Meals for
all PTC participants include:

All other
meals are on your own. The Doral resort features numerous
restaurants and lounges open for lunch and dinner. Menus range
from quick bites to go and pre-made wraps ($7-$12 at The Java
Zone), and burgers, salads and sandwiches ($9-$15 at Champions
and Bungalou’s) to a formal steakhouse ($19+ Windows on the
Green).
PTC
delegates will be offered a 15% discount in all restaurants (not
reflected in the prices above).
Additional
meals for those who have selected the ‘with accommodation’
option:

When to arrive
PTC course check-in is from
1:00pm-3:00pm
on the first date of the course.
Hotel check in begins at
4:00pm
on the first date of the course.
If you arrive prior to 4:00, the hotel will allow you to store
your luggage until your hotel room is available for check-in.
The introductory session,
followed by dinner, will begin at
4:00pm
on the first date of the
course. You should arrive in plenty of time to attend this
first session. It is essential to the rest of the workshop.
Check in deposits
Each
participant will be required to pay a security deposit to the
Doral Golf Resort & Spa to cover incidentals (i.e. telephone
calls, rentals, room service, etc.). This deposit is refundable
upon check out if not used. Plan to provide a credit card upon
check in. The credit card must be one that
has your name or has your authorization to charge. If you do
not have a credit card the hotel will collect $100 in cash upon
check-in and request an additional $100 each time that is
consumed by incidentals.

The
hotel requires check out of all sleeping rooms by 11:00
am. A luggage storage facility is available for
convenience. Plan to check out before class. Late
check out is subject to an extra nights charge. The
final morning is an essential part of the course. Please
arrange your travel so that you can be present through
this final session. |
What to bring
Please bring
all pre-readings and assignments that you receive from
the PTC office. Please also bring a sweater or sweatshirt
(all training rooms are air-conditioned).
Extra nights
If you need a
room either before the starting day of your session, or after
the session, or for the nights in between sessions if you are
taking more than one course, submit the attached request
form directly to the hotel via fax. The
PTC
does not handle any additional reservations for days in
Miami outside
of the course dates.
The hotel is holding
a limited number of extra rooms, at the TTC rate of
$141.25 single/double
(includes $125 room rate plus 13% tax) per night. This rate
does not include breakfast. The hotel will confirm
availability upon receipt of your form. Please contact them
EARLY as space is limited. The deadline for extra-night
reservations is
9 May 2008.
(Please note that reservation
requests received after 9 May 2008 may be charged a higher room
rate if space is still available).
Graduate credit
If you intend
to take any course for credit, please indicate this when you
arrive on site. Graduate credit is available from Lehigh
University and The College of New Jersey. Representatives from
the universities will be on site to answer any questions and
assist you in completing the appropriate paperwork before you
leave Miami. PTC will collect the fee for credits during the
course and pass it on to the university. All those taking a
course for graduate credit will be required to complete an
additional assignment. Please contact the university directly if
you have any questions about matriculation, their degree
programs, etc.
Cancellation policy
Your PTC
deposit is non-refundable. For registrants who withdraw after 9
May 2008, one half of the fees, less the deposit, will be
refunded.
Training at the PTC is intensive
While there
are no evening sessions, you may have reading and/or short
writing assignments to complete. There is no free time
available during the course for off-site activities. Attendance
of family members who are not attending the course is
discouraged.
